Designed exclusively for clinicians, this online workshop—led by acclaimed author and trauma specialist, David Treleaven, Ph.D.—will equip you with the tools you need to safely and effectively use mindfulness interventions when working with clients who have experienced trauma.
Dr. Treleaven’s training covers a range of topics including the potential for dysregulation caused by meditation, recognizing symptoms of traumatic stress, and evidence-based interventions based on empirical research. Additionally, participants will learn tools and modifications to manage dysregulated arousal, traumatic flashbacks, and trauma-related dissociation. Participants will improve their ability to provide support to their clients by learning how to use specific trauma-informed modifications and develop curricula and interventions that actively prevent re-traumatization.
