Event Description
Individuals with developmental disabilities are at heightened risk for developing mental disorders as well as experiencing abuse, trauma and bullying. Anxiety disorders as well as mood disorders are frequently diagnosed yet may appear somewhat different in this population. The high frequency of mental health problems in this population paired with a high probability for trauma have important implications for caregivers, respite workers, and strategies for caregiving and treatment.Available as recorded webinar series
