Event Description
Children and youth need the adults in their lives to help navigate the difficulties that come along with mental health and to connect them with necessary support and services. This workshop is designed for education and social service providers, caregivers and anyone seeking a better understanding of the complexities that surround mental illness with this population. Participants will be provided with a general overview of the common mental illnesses for children and youth, signs and symptoms, themes for treatment and the controversies that surround some of the diagnoses.
