Event Description
In this rare opportunity to spend two days learning from the founder of Motivational Interviewing (MI) himself, participants will further their skills in MI through a blend of didactic presentations and demonstrations from Dr. Miller, along with ample opportunity for experiential skill practice. Dr. Miller will address areas where clinicians often get stuck while applying MI, and how to overcome these stuck points. He will also discuss advanced elements of MI including new elements from the Third Edition of Motivational Interviewing and new research findings pertaining to MI. Supervision of clinicians providing MI will also be addressed. Please note that this two-day advanced workshop assumes prior formal training and reasonable proficiency in Motivational Interviewing; it is not designed to introduce the clinical method itself.Topics Covered:
