Event Description

Mental Health First Aid MHFA Canada is help for a person experiencing a mental health problem or a mental health crisis. Just like physical first aid, the goal is to offer a person immediate assistance until they can receive appropriate professional treatment or until the crisis is over. MHFA Canada is an evidence based program of The Mental Health Commission of Canada, it can benefit teachers, health care professionals, emergency service workers, human resource professionals, community groups, and family members. No previous mental health experience is necessary. Successful participants will be awarded a certificate.
The Family Association for Mental Health Everywhere FAME is pleased to offer small, personal MHFA courses in a comfortable home-like atmosphere, delivered by an experienced and trusted instructor.
The 12 hour course is delivered over 2 consecutive Sundays, six hours of course time per day.
