About the Conference
-There are many different theories about what helps young people in care “get better” but very few would debate the importance of the power and impact of relationships. In this highly interactive workshop the presenter will use his long held philosophy of “Money in the Bank” as a foundation in looking at techniques to build healthy relationships with children with emphasis on the importance of just simple kindness. Topics include:
-Qualities of a healthy adult/child relationship.
-How do I get that “money in the bank”??
-But, if I am kind won’t they just walk all over me?
-Avoiding those dreaded power struggles we just knew we were too smart to get into!
-The importance of healthy boundaries.
-Keeping a crisis intervention therapeutic.
