We are the regulatory body for nursing in our province. We are responsible for protecting the public by promoting good practice, preventing poor practice, and intervening when practice is unacceptable.

We achieve this through:

* setting standards of educational preparations and qualifications

* ensuring safe, ethical and competent nursing care

* promotion and enhancement of continuing competence

* investigation of complaints, taking disciplinary action when necessary
