Keynote Speakers:

Lyn Mikel Brown, EdD, author (with Carol Gilligan) of the ground breaking book Meeting at the Crossroads: Women’s Psychology and Girls’ Development; Packaging Girlhood: Rescuing Our Daughters from Marketer’s Schemes and Packaging Boyhood: Saving our boys from superheroes, slackers and other media stereotypes.

Natalie Beausoleil, PhD, co-founder of the Body Image Network, and academic whose research examines youths’ experiences of and meanings of their bodies, health and fitness; and the social production of gender, body, health and illness through popular, medical and scientific discourses

Margo Maine, PhD, FAED, author of The Body Myth: Adult Women and the Pressure to Be Perfect; Father Hunger: Fathers, Daughters and the Pursuit of Thinness; and Body Wars: Making Peace With Women’s Bodies.

Allyson Mitchell, PhD, melds feminism and pop culture to play with contemporary ideas about sexuality, autobiography, and the body.
