Screening Tool: Alcohol Use Problems (in Men)

This survey is designed for adult males to see if you might be having problems with alcohol.

Are you female? If so, please here is the version for females.

This questionnaire is the 3-item AUDIT-C. It was designed to help identify persons who are hazardous drinkers or have active alcohol use disorders (including alcohol abuse or dependence), and is a shortened version of the 10-item AUDIT. Thank you Dr. Kristen Bush and colleagues for developing this tool!

Note the following which shows what is a usual, standard drink of alcohol (Health Canada)

1. How often do you have a drink containing alcohol?
2. How many standard drinks containing alcohol do you have on a typical day?
3. How often do you have six or more drinks on one occasion?
